Chinatown, filtered through the seasons. The series turns the street's sounds, movement and energy into abstract forms, one season to a frame.
The same few blocks of New York's Chinatown change every hour and every season. Urban Filter records that change as colour and line rather than as a picture of the place.
Each piece holds a moment of the cycle: awakening, glow, flare. Together they ask what stays when everything on the street keeps moving.
The street's sounds, movement and energy, filtered into form. One drawing for each turn of the cycle: Awakening, Glow, Flare, and the Remix that brings them back together.

Printed on fabric, the drawings behave differently: the lines bend with the cloth, and the colours catch the light as it folds. Blaze, Aqua and Remix were made for the fabric from the start.
